Surah Ash-Sharh — سُورَةُ الشَّرۡحِ

أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ ﴿1﴾

Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate, (94:1)

وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ ﴿2﴾

And eased thee of the burden (94:2)

ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ ﴿3﴾

Which weighed down thy back; (94:3)

وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ ﴿4﴾

And exalted thy fame? (94:4)

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ﴿5﴾

But lo! with hardship goeth ease, (94:5)

إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا ﴿6﴾

Lo! with hardship goeth ease; (94:6)

فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ ﴿7﴾

So when thou art relieved, still toil (94:7)

وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب ﴿8﴾

And strive to please thy Lord. (94:8)
