Surah Ad-Dhuhaa — سُورَةُ الضُّحَىٰ
The Morning Hours · 11 ayahs · Meccan · surah 93 of 114 · Listen, recited by Abdur-Rahman As-Sudais
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ﴿1﴾
By the morning hours (93:1)
And by the night when it is stillest, (93:2)
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ﴿3﴾
Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, (93:3)
وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿4﴾
And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, (93:4)
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ ﴿5﴾
And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. (93:5)
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ ﴿6﴾
Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? (93:6)
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ ﴿7﴾
Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? (93:7)
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ ﴿8﴾
Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? (93:8)
فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ﴿9﴾
Therefor the orphan oppress not, (93:9)
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ﴿10﴾
Therefor the beggar drive not away, (93:10)
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ﴿11﴾
Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. (93:11)
