Surah Al-Qadr — سُورَةُ القَدۡرِ
The Power, Fate · 5 ayahs · Meccan · surah 97 of 114 · Listen, recited by Abdur-Rahman As-Sudais
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ ﴿1﴾
Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Predestination. (97:1)
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ ﴿2﴾
Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is! (97:2)
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍۢ ﴿3﴾
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. (97:3)
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍۢ ﴿4﴾
The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees. (97:4)
سَلَٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ ﴿5﴾
(The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn. (97:5)
