Surah Al-Masad — سُورَةُ المَسَدِ

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ ﴿1﴾
The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. (111:1)
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ ﴿2﴾
His wealth and gains will not exempt him. (111:2)
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ ﴿3﴾
He will be plunged in flaming Fire, (111:3)
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ ﴿4﴾
And his wife, the wood-carrier, (111:4)
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ ﴿5﴾
Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. (111:5)
